Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with business stakeholders, end-users, and technical teams to elicit, clarify, and document complex business requirements
- Analyze current-state processes and identify pain points and improvement opportunities in hardware provisioning, software deployment, asset management, and IT service delivery
- Perform gap analyses and propose practical, innovative solutions
- Serve as an expert on customer hardware and software business requirements
- Translate business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories with acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Development Teams to refine and prioritize the product backlog
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies
- Champion Agile best practices
- Analyze government hardware asset and software license lifecycles
- Analyze requirements for system integrations, performance, security, and scalability
- Work with architects and engineers to ensure technical feasibility and enterprise architecture alignment
- Analyze, design, and document ServiceNow solutions optimizing ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, and related modules
- Enhance ServiceNow workflows, forms, reports, and integrations
- Guide stakeholders on optimal ServiceNow utilization as a subject matter expert
- Build collaborative relationships with senior management, technical teams, and end-users
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and translate business needs for technical teams
- Facilitate workshops, presentations, and training sessions
- Support UAT by developing test cases, coordinating testing, and validating solutions
- Assist with training materials and user documentation
- Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations
- Support the Department of the Air Force Enterprise IT as a Service program
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- 12+ years of relevant experience; a Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years focused on IT systems, including hardware and software
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in an Agile development environment, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- Proven track record converting requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories
- Demonstrable experience with ServiceNow, including ITSM, ITAM, and CMDB modules
- Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro)
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Superior written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation techniques, including interviews, workshops, surveys, and prototyping
- Experience with process modeling tools, such as Visio
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT infrastructure principles
- Desired: CBAP, CSM, CSPO, or SAFe certifications
- Desired: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Certified Implementation Specialist certification
- Desired: ITIL Foundation certification
- Desired: Experience with enterprise architecture concepts and design principles
- Desired: Prior experience in government contracting
