About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Select, purchase, and manage gift merchandise for retail locations
- Assist with revenue, margin, and inventory management across multiple properties and locations
- Source and develop innovative products to achieve financial goals and support Caesars-owned brands
- Provide administrative support using retail systems to deliver product assortments exceeding guest expectations
- Manage vendor matrix and direct deliveries versus central distribution to drive gross profit
- Develop annual sales and margin goals and in-season forecasts
- Produce weekly snapshot reports for retail senior leadership
- Partner with corporate analytics to develop meaningful performance metrics and analysis
- Manage product flow and daily/twice-daily deliveries to Las Vegas stores
- Identify product, real estate, promotional, market trend, and margin opportunities
- Monitor sales and develop action plans for top- and bottom-selling products
- Provide product knowledge seminars and coordinate vendor training, special events, and personal appearances
- Develop assortment plans for new stores and partner with departments on store setup
- Train and develop direct reports
- Exceed revenue and margin budgets and collaborate cross-functionally
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Experience in retail buying required
- Ability to drive product assortment strategies across multiple locations
- Willingness to travel
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize activities
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
- Proven track record of exceeding goals
- Strong understanding of retail finance and key performance drivers
- Strong understanding of trends in relevant departments
- Ability to develop and build a strong team of motivated merchants
