Key responsibilities & impact- Own the product roadmap for the Analytics area and prioritize work
- Decide which problems the team solves, for which clients and why, and what is out of scope
- Write clear feature requirements defining the problem, users and success criteria
- Agree specifications with engineers, business analysts and test engineers before development
- Confirm completed features meet their original intent
- Explore new or unclear ideas using AI tools before engineering handoff
- Assess the commercial impact of features and identify module changes
- Maintain documentation for Analytics modules
- Work with the Market Data team to confirm required data for new features
- Explain analytics module behavior to Relationship Managers, Sales and Support
- Hold a weekly support session and help classify and resolve Analytics issues
- Identify client challenges and translate them into potential Cassini solutions
- Report to the Head of Product
Requirements
What you’ll need- Sound knowledge of collateral and margin analytics, including optimisation algorithms
- Experience with derivatives margin and collateral, such as SIMM, SPAN or clearing house margin (preferred)
- Experience with AI-assisted development or specification-led delivery (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence and agile workflow
- Working knowledge of generative AI tools, including Claude and Cursor
- Working knowledge of APIs, databases and SFTPs
- Experience of Repo, Stock Borrow Lend or other financing solutions (preferred)
- Understanding of margin models and optimisation algorithms (preferred)
- Knowledge of buy-side or sell-side operating processes (preferred)
- Experience using and defining API endpoints (preferred)
- Good understanding of data modelling and experience defining new data models (preferred)
- Some Python or VBA coding experience (preferred)
- Demonstrable experience using AI tools to fast-track tasks, automate processes and solve problems (preferred)
- Solid experience with core tools, platforms and technologies used by the company
- Basic understanding of SQL databases, AWS infrastructure, Python, and APIs/SFTP is helpful but not essential
