About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build innovative data-driven performance analytics and insights solutions for transformational events including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and exit preparedness
  • Apply accounting and financial due diligence skills to reconcile transaction-level data and produce supportable, auditable performance metrics
  • Provide strategic counsel to corporate and private equity leaders, strategists, operating executives, managing directors, CFOs, and corporate development officers
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, modeling, visualization, benchmarking, and descriptive and predictive analyses
  • Develop and implement firm-approved AI-enabled solutions in accordance with data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards
  • Monitor emerging AI tools and techniques and identify compliant opportunities to improve client solutions and internal processes
  • Lead high-performing teams in data analytics, consulting, and/or private equity
  • Cultivate new client relationships and deepen existing relationships
  • Interview clients to assess current-state/future-state gaps and identify root causes
  • Guide clients through analytics strategy, roadmaps, and implementation initiatives
  • Develop thought leadership and intellectual capital
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the practice
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including feedback and performance reviews
  • Automate client processes from data extraction and preparation through reporting
  • Contribute to forecasting and predictive analytics models
  • Lead data-driven management discussions and translate complex findings into strategic recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive ability and proven skills in data processing tools such as Alteryx, PowerQuery, Excel, SQL, and Python
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in SaaS, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, Consumer Products, Retail, and/or Professional Services industries
  • Experience with analytics around ARR cube and snowball, revenue/margin and price-volume, and/or cash collections waterfall
  • Experience in functional areas such as supply chain, operations, and corporate finance
  • Experience with advanced analytical methods, including statistical pricing studies, customer lifetime value analyses, customer persistency/retention analyses, geospatial analyses, and statistical clustering analyses
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools
  • Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards
  • Ability to interact, communicate, and present effectively with internal teams and external clients
  • Demonstrated interest in consulting and experience working in a fast-paced mergers and acquisitions environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Strong academic record, including coursework relevant to the position
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and assisting project teams in resolving complex and multi-faceted issues
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, or carve-outs including quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Transactions experience focused on quality of earnings, net working capital, and cash flows
  • Minimum 5 years of total relevant experience involving financial due diligence for transaction services and data analytics
