Key responsibilities & impact- Lead accounting support for Sales and Operations functions and approximately 9–10 nationwide Gold Star locations
- Support the CFO, Finance, Sales, Operations, and CEO leadership teams
- Manage multiple direct reports, including Sr. Accountants, Staff Accountants, and Jr. Accountants
- Manage the month-end close process
- Ensure accurate and timely accruals and limit out-of-period expenses
- Review and approve journal entries and accruals
- Perform balance sheet, general ledger, and bank account reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset accounts, roll-forward schedules, and capital lease ledger entries
- Review and record employee and contract labor payroll journals
- Prepare management reports, data, analysis, month-end reports, and audit support
- Oversee balance sheet, income statement, financial position, and budget variance analyses
- Research and resolve discrepancy issues with appropriate departments
- Document and escalate issues to the Director of FP&A and Accounting or Corporate Controller
- Work with the Assistant Controller to complete year-end audits
- Act as a business partner to Sales and Operations by coaching and developing financial acumen
- Assist with special projects and prepare ad hoc analysis
- Follow company policies and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required
- CPA / MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years of related experience
- ERP system experience; NAV experience preferred
- Strong partnership skills and proven financial support of various functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a private equity-backed environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at all organizational levels
- MS Office and applicable financial software application experience; Workday Adaptive a plus
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, matches, and other key formulas
- Significant experience with three-statement models and iterative reference preferred
- Ability to work effectively independently and under deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
- Ability to travel intermittently (~20%)
- Full-time office presence required
