Key responsibilities & impact- Enhance and streamline data and pipeline architecture to improve data flow and collection
- Partner with software developers, database architects, and data analysts to support data initiatives and reliable data delivery

- Develop and execute unit and data validation tests; maintain documentation; troubleshoot data issues; support feasibility assessments and health outcome evaluation
- Provide reporting and project support across the organization
- Ensure reporting reliability, accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Support development, ETL processes, and maintenance of data assets and models; design integrations and data quality frameworks
- Evaluate open-source and vendor data-lineage tools and contribute to data platform architecture planning
- Assist in developing an integrated healthcare data warehouse
- Work with the data architect on data warehouse design, ETL processing, data validation, bounds checking, and database tuning
- Contribute to data governance, quality, data models, database queries, multidimensional query and index tuning, monitoring, disaster recovery, backup, automated testing, schema migration, and continuous deployment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst role
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Healthcare Informatics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field
- IBM Certified Data Engineer or Google Certified Professional is preferred
- Experience with healthcare data, including HL7, CCDAs, MS SQL Server, Databricks, Tableau, InterSystems HealthShare, and Cache databases
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, query authoring, and familiarity with various databases
- Proficiency in database design principles, including relationships, normalization, structures, indexes, views, and analyzing database requirements
- Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
- Strong analytical skills and experience performing root cause analysis on data and processes
- Experience developing processes for data transformation, structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and scalable big data stores
- Proficiency in big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases
- Strong programming skills with Python, Java, C++, and Scala
- Ability to architect end-to-end ETL pipelines
- Experience with AWS services and BI tools like Tableau
- Strong quantitative, analytical, process development, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
