About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize metrology calibration systems and measurement science principles to measure object characteristics
- Perform measurement surveys using Photogrammetry, Total Stations, Laser Trackers, CMMs, and other electronic 3D instruments
- Use 3D model-based software and design drawings to plan and execute measurement surveys
- Analyze collected data for end users
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct technical reliability studies and engineering design evaluations
- Recommend design or test methods using metrology methodologies to achieve product reliability
- Compile and analyze measured data reports, including relevant variables affecting products and processes
- Potentially use Visual Basic to enhance 3D measurement software functionality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Program graduation certificate from an approved institution may substitute for an Apprentice Certification, Associate's degree, or other 2-year technical degree in a relevant field
- 2 years of related experience can be substituted for an Associate's degree
- 4 years of non-related experience can be substituted for an Associate's degree
- U.S. citizenship required
- No clearance required to start
