About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop flight management system requirements
- Design and define flight management system architectures and interfaces
- Perform system integration and testing to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Support the certification process for flight management systems
- Provide support and oversight to less experienced Systems Engineers on the team
- Report directly to the Sr Engineering Program Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 6+ years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership
- Comprehensive knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to work under minimal supervision
- Experience providing technical leadership on complex engineering projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with relevant technologies and industry trends
- Knowledge of flight systems and avionics
- Experience with flight management system design and integration
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Knowledge of aircraft certification processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning
- Candidate must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status holder in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or someone with the ability to obtain an export authorization
