Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with business leaders across Hopper to understand performance, evaluate opportunities and support decisions
- Build and maintain integrated financial models, scenario and sensitivity analyses, and business cases
- Evaluate economics of commercial agreements, including pricing, revenue share, unit economics and ROI
- Help shape deal terms with business leaders
- Support fundraising, M&A and capital allocation decisions
- Own monthly and quarterly forecasts for supported areas
- Contribute to annual budgets and long-range plans using driver-based models connecting operational metrics to P&L outcomes
- Lead monthly and quarterly reviews of actuals versus plan and forecast
- Explain variances and flag risks and opportunities to business leaders
- Advise leadership on market sizing, investment prioritization and cost optimization
- Prepare executive-, board- and investor-ready materials
- Use SQL, BigQuery and AI tools to automate recurring reporting and analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, strategic finance or FP&A
- Investment banking or private equity experience at Analyst or Associate level preferred
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including three-statement models, DCF, scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Expert in Excel / Google Sheets
- Solid understanding of accounting and how the three financial statements connect
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance partners and present to senior leaders
- Working knowledge of SQL or demonstrated ability to learn technical tools quickly
- Hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot
- Strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity and a builder mindset
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Math, Engineering or another quantitative discipline
- Experience in tech, fintech, travel, marketplaces or B2B partnerships preferred
- Experience with Python and/or BI tools such as Looker or Tableau preferred
- CFA, CPA or MBA preferred
