About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and analyze growth opportunities
- Work with business leaders to prioritize options and set the long-term strategy agenda
- Develop industry analyses and high-level financial or other business models
- Conduct qualitative analyses and synthesize findings into executive-level deliverables and recommendations
- Conduct market research and competitive analyses to support strategic initiatives and business planning
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize internal and external data into actionable insights for executive decision-making
- Convert strategy into roadmaps, business cases, and projects while prioritizing timelines and ensuring alignment and execution
- Develop presentations and executive-level materials
- Collaborate with Corporate Strategy colleagues
- Support evaluations of market and competitive strategies, partnerships and acquisitions, operating model and organizational improvements, pilots, and innovation opportunities
- Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years of full-time work experience in strategy consulting or corporate/business unit strategy
- Analytical skills, including quantitative analysis, research, and financial modeling
- Conceptual skills, including translating ambiguous problem statements into structured frameworks
- Ability to generate hypotheses independently and test them
- Ability to synthesize complex information into digestible executive insights
- Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders
- Passion for Humana's focus on value-based healthcare for seniors (preferred)
- Exposure to the healthcare industry (preferred)
