About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate project cost variances to support root cause analysis and process change orders
- Define and quantify potential scope changes using project team, customer, and Legal Contract Management input
- Prioritize requested changes based on project schedule impact
- Develop, maintain, and drive adherence to standardized change management processes and documentation
- Establish project baselines for sold scope and schedule and mitigate identified risks
- Maintain a centralized change management tool and project/program change logs
- Collaborate with Legal Contracts Management on contract-based change order opportunities
- Coordinate change request estimating with Solution Development
- Develop efficient change communication channels and communicate approved changes to project teams
- Validate schedule and resource impacts with Project Scheduling and Capacity Planning
- Produce change request responses and change order submission documentation
- Evaluate internal and external change requests for project execution risk
- Lead monthly Change Order reviews with Business Unit and Functional leadership
- Provide guidance to leadership on change impact evaluation and customer pursuit decisions
- Support change order strategy with Sales, Solution Development, and Project Management
- Participate in Quality Gate reviews and quote and contract language development
- Collaborate with Procurement on supplier credits resulting from scope and schedule changes
- Own Commodity Indexation and Hyper-Inflation processes
- Train cross-functional teams on change management best practices
- Create and maintain a library of comparable change orders across regions and programs
- Provide change order summaries to Solution Development to improve future projects, products, tools, and standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and related operations
- Understanding and application of Change Management processes
- Ability to identify potential change order opportunities related to scope, schedule, and cost impacts
- Experience in project execution within the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) industry is ideal
