Key responsibilities & impact- Work across the company’s ISP network, private dedicated fibre, LAN and Wi-Fi deployments, private and public cloud, colocation, data centre services, IT support, remote hands, and infrastructure management
- Begin in first-line support
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Own support cases from first call through resolution
- Document lessons learned for colleagues
- Shadow senior engineers
- Conduct customer site visits across London, including customer offices and data centres
- Progress into solution design and procedure writing
- Help build a quality control process
- Test and build networks using equipment from different vendors in the company lab
Requirements
What you’ll need- Genuine curiosity about how technology works
- Patience to figure things out
- Hobbyist experience with technology, such as running a home lab, working with Linux, building networks, or creating a Discord bot
- No professional experience or certifications required
- Willingness to start in first-line support
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Ability to take ownership of support cases from first call to resolution
- Willingness to shadow senior engineers and progress to independent site visits
- Willingness to work on-site with the company, customers, or in data centres
- Willingness to travel to customer offices and data centres across London
