About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform daily maintenance and record keeping for syndicated bank loans held in mutual fund and structured portfolios
- Process trades, receipts, and disbursements
- Reconcile daily cash balances
- Produce daily roll-forward proofs of portfolio holdings and accrual information
- Prepare standard and ad hoc reports for internal and external customers
- Respond to daily customer queries and resolve inquiries
- Process bank loan notices received from agent banks
- Interact with Investment Managers on assigned portfolios, input and settle trades, fulfill ad hoc requests, and provide client-specific reporting
- Provide loan-related reports to mutual fund counterparts for incorporation into final NAV calculations
- Identify and escalate unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity according to corporate policy
- Research and resolve exceptions and issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to management
- Perform daily or weekly team activity reporting
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist management with implementing policies and procedures and participate in projects
- Suggest workflow and technology improvements to streamline operations
- Maintain knowledge of alternative procedures and processes
- Support training of new hires
- Perform other tasks as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience supporting Client Operations and operational Shared Service teams or Centers of Excellence
- Ability to monitor and process custody-related events accurately and timely
- Ability to perform daily maintenance and record keeping for syndicated bank loans
- Ability to process trades and book receipts and disbursements
- Ability to reconcile cash balances
- Ability to produce portfolio holdings roll-forward proofs and accrual information
- Ability to prepare standard and ad hoc reports
- Ability to process bank loan notices from agent banks
- Ability to input and settle trades
- Ability to identify and report or escalate unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity
- Ability to research and resolve exceptions and issues
