Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and execute TimeBase maintenance and development activities with technical and delivery teams
- Support migration and modernization of TimeBase content into Thomson Reuters content systems and Westlaw applications
- Assist with source code migration into Thomson Reuters-managed tooling
- Support Jira to Azure DevOps migration
- Support data and CRM migration and validate systems before legacy decommissioning

- Modernize a Perl 5.8 system to the latest Perl
- Support SSO/identity, monitoring/observability, and compliance work, including Australian data residency
- Participate in technical discovery sessions and document current technical capabilities and architecture
- Produce technical documentation, migration runbooks, and handover notes
- Attend check-ins and status updates, flagging risks, blockers, and dependencies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology (or equivalent practical experience)
- Able to work independently while collaborating with a small, distributed team across time zones
- Strong written communication and technical documentation skills
- Ability to manage evolving scope and multiple concurrent workstreams
- Solid hands-on software development experience
- Experience with data migration, system integration, or platform consolidation projects
- Experience moving applications/data from on-premises or third-party hosted environments into a cloud platform
- Experience with data and/or CRM migration
- Experience with Perl, C# .NET, Java, JavaScript, Grunt, and Gradle
- Experience with SSO/identity integration and enterprise security or data residency requirements is preferred
- Background in legal, publishing, or content-heavy platforms is preferred
- Exposure to observability/monitoring tools such as Datadog is preferred
- Experience working with external delivery vendors/contractors is preferred
