Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based microservices
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance microservices using AWS and TypeScript
- Use AI developer tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and LLM reasoning models for context gathering, boilerplating, test generation, and code refactoring
- Build and maintain modular microservices communicating through well-defined APIs
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; improve test coverage and use TDD where applicable
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
- Contribute to sprint goals and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Conduct and participate in code reviews, including validating AI-generated code for security and correctness
- Participate in design sessions and improve platform architecture
- Work with stakeholders and product owners to understand requirements and develop solutions
- Pursue continuous learning through available courses and development resources
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience designing and developing service-oriented applications in Java, Python, C#, TypeScript, or another modern language
- Experience designing and building microservice-based systems with high cohesion and loose coupling
- Proficiency in a modern object-oriented programming language; TypeScript preferred
- Comfortable integrating AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, and Claude into daily workflow
- Experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies
- Experience with relational or NoSQL data stores
- Expertise in industry-standard design and architectural patterns
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
- Experience working in an Agile environment, including Scrum or Kanban
- Understanding of software security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, and encryption
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience
- AWS serverless and companion technology experience such as DynamoDB and SQS preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handling ambiguity and changing requirements
- Local candidates strongly preferred
