About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system
- Float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations and/or regions
- Apply professional nursing practice: assess, identify outcomes/solutions, plan, implement and evaluate
- Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions and outcomes
- Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes
- Take on new and additional responsibilities while managing competing priorities
- Provide emergency department nursing coverage at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center
- Complete a 13-week assignment working 3x12-hour evening shifts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience for Emergency Department
- Required to have and maintain the credentials required per specialty area (e.g., ACLS, TNCC)
- BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
- Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions
- Acts independently and appropriately within license, scope of knowledge and experience in practice area
