About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute medium- to high-complexity service work according to work instructions and ABB guidelines
- Deliver customer service and satisfy customer requirements
- Work with customers to identify installed-base opportunities and improve system and operational performance
- Plan and execute service work according to customer orders and expectations
- Communicate service timelines and expectations to support customer retention
- Identify new service business opportunities in cooperation with customers and ABB teams
- Coach technicians and engineers
- Supervise complex site activities
- Collaborate with Marine & Ports Operations and Maintenance Teams on drive systems, automation services, commissioning, and asset reliability
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 to 10 years of experience in drives or industrial automation service engineering
- Extensive knowledge of ABB drives, VFD drives, or industrial automation
- Experience with ACS6000, LV/MV switchboards, and VFD service ABB product installation and commissioning is an added advantage
- Interest in customer management and stakeholder management
- Engineering Degree B.E./B.Tech in EEC, Electrical, or Electronics, or Diploma in engineering in any specialization is required
- Comfortable communicating in English, verbally and in writing
- Willingness to work with commissioning and maintenance activities in the Marine & Ports market
