About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct needs analyses
- Manage inventory and complaints
- Manage contracts
- Maintain and verify material master data
- Follow up on delayed deliveries
- Maintain international supplier relationships
- Conduct global negotiations on commercial terms
- Acquire new suppliers and expand the global supplier network for materials
- Conduct market price research
- Support tender processes and obtain quotations
- Monitor price trends and market developments to support well-informed purchasing decisions
- Contribute to project teams launching new products
- Manage projects cost-effectively
- Prepare budget-related reports, including bad goods reporting, price calculations, provisions, and write-downs
- Take primary responsibility for audit-relevant processes relating to packaging and raw materials
- Support audits, such as FSSC audits
- Report directly to the Procurement Manager
- Collaborate with specialist departments at the production site, Supply Planning, Product and Project Management, Product Development, Quality Management, and Finance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commercial or business administration qualification, or a degree in business administration
- Several years of professional experience in operational procurement, ideally in the food industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes
- Knowledge of supplier management
- Ability to understand and oversee complex markets
- Independent, solution-oriented, and structured approach to work
- Strong organizational skills
- Assertiveness
- High sense of responsibility
- Enthusiasm for analyzing and improving processes
- Good understanding of financial interrelationships
- Fluent German and English, with strong negotiation skills
