About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own revenue accounting execution, including monthly and quarterly close entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis under ASC 606
  • Maintain, analyze, and enhance revenue reserve models for Ship & Debit, rebates, and returns
  • Partner with Commercial Finance to deliver data-backed revenue forecasts and explain margin and revenue variances to executive leadership
  • Translate commercial deals, pricing changes, and customer agreements into proper accounting treatments
  • Audit revenue and controllership workflows to eliminate bottlenecks, reduce cycle times, and minimize manual spreadsheets
  • Partner with Finance Systems and IT to implement automation, improved system integrations, and self-service reporting
  • Pilot and deploy automation and AI tools for reconciliations, trend monitoring, and variance detection
  • Define transformation blueprints scalable across controllership workstreams
  • Maintain SOX internal controls, process documentation, and audit-ready schedules
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations, Supply Chain, and Legal to identify upstream risks
  • Champion continuous improvement across Finance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Hands-on depth in revenue recognition (ASC 606), revenue reserves, and month-end close
  • Track record of process improvement, workflow redesign, or implementing automation in an accounting environment
  • Proficiency with enterprise ERP systems such as Oracle
  • Advanced Excel and data modeling skills
  • Interest in modern data tools and AI for operational accounting challenges
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills
  • CPA or active progress toward CPA preferred
  • Experience with semiconductor or high-tech distribution models preferred, particularly Ship & Debit programs and distributor inventory accounting
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI, or channel management systems such as Model N preferred
  • Must reside in a state where Allegro currently has an office location: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Texas, or Michigan
