About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete accounting activities related to maintaining a complete and accurate general ledger
- Perform journal entries and month-end responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial accruals for receivables and payables
- Complete roll-forwards and reconciliations for Manufacturer Receivables, Rebates Payable, and assigned balance sheet accounts
- Account for rebate invoicing, accruals, and payments for receivables
- Reconcile rebate payables
- Assist with establishing and modifying documents and coordinating implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
- Work with team members and other departments to research and resolve issues
- Work on special projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years relevant experience
- PC skills and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong Excel skills and ability to learn new software
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Proficiency in accounting processes, procedures, and controls
- Experience in general ledger account analysis/reconciliation
- Experience working with cross-functional departments to research and resolve issues
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Understanding of business operations and processes
- Customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate departmental and project deadlines
- If working at home, cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload is required
