About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for proper billing, revenue, and reconciliation duties for assigned projects
- Record project transactions according to GAAP revenue recognition guidelines and One10’s workflow
- Work closely with Client Services Event Managers
- Understand and apply One10 project accounting processes and practices
- Propose project journal entries to manage project funds
- Assist with month-end close activities, including reviewing project working capital summaries, project Profit & Loss/Balance Sheet statements, and Percent of Completion schedules
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses
- Review processes and procedures and implement process improvements to strengthen revenue accounting efficiency
- Answer account management questions related to client billing
- Contribute to revenue and deferred revenue analyses
- Participate in cross-training
- Assist in improving month-end close cycle time
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3-5 years of comprehensive experience in project accounting
- CPA (active or inactive) preferred
- Strong MS Excel skills (pivots, v/h-lookups, etc.)
- Financial expertise in POC billing and GAAP ASC606 revenue recognition
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and analytic problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and time management skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Experience with NetSuite preferred, as well as experience with project management applications/systems
- Experience with efficient processes and the use of technology; accuracy is essential
