Key responsibilities & impact- Drive development and adoption of enterprise-scale Infrastructure as Code capabilities
- Design, build, and productize reusable infrastructure solutions
- Establish IaC engineering standards, governance, and adoption roadmap
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure automation across omni-hosted platforms
- Build reusable modules, templates, blueprints, and self-service automation capabilities
- Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Rundeck, Python, or related technologies
- Apply AI-assisted engineering and Specification-Driven Design practices
- Address responsible AI practices, security controls, governance, and risk management
- Design and develop APIs and integrations for infrastructure orchestration, provisioning, and platform services
- Drive CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation
- Partner with platform product teams to accelerate IaC adoption and productize infrastructure capabilities
- Create documentation, reference architectures, training materials, and enablement programs
- Leverage cross-domain knowledge across compute, networking, storage, security, identity, cloud, and infrastructure services
- Collaborate with platform, server, security, networking, and application teams

Requirements
What you’ll need- Legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Infrastructure as Code principles, patterns, and engineering practices
- Experience with continuous collaborative pair programming
- Strong experience building infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Env0, Puppet, or equivalent platforms
- Demonstrated success establishing and scaling enterprise infrastructure automation initiatives
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
- Knowledge of Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and code review practices
- Experience building reusable modules, templates, and shared automation services
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, identity management, and platform services
- Desirable: experience integrating LLMs, MCPs, AI agents, Copilot technologies, or workflow automation platforms
- Desirable: experience building AI-native infrastructure platforms
- Desirable: experience enabling self-service capabilities through platform engineering or developer platforms
