About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote and enhance staff clinical expertise to provide safe, quality nursing care
- Review physicians’ orders and update plans of care and documentation as necessary
- Assist with interviewing, selecting, training, and validating new clinical staff
- Participate in patient release from facilities to homes through Start of Care Assessments and Re-evaluations
- Collaborate with operations and business development teams
- Manage internal case management and evaluate and develop nursing talent
- Ensure adherence to state, federal, local, and Aveanna policies and procedures
- Perform quality assurance of clinical documentation
- Coordinate care with ancillary healthcare providers
- Participate in emergency after-hours visits and calls while on call
Requirements
What you’ll need- RN license in good standing in the state in which the clinician will practice
- At least 2 years of hands-on nursing experience in the last 5 years
- Ability to travel to patients’ homes in the designated territory
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license and successful MVR check
- Current CPR certification from AHA or ARC
- Willingness to supervise nurses providing in-home skilled nursing care to infants, children, adolescents, and/or adults
