About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run Dame Labs by growing the tester community and establishing engaging trial processes
- Conduct customer interviews, in-home studies and tester panels
- Design and run surveys and turn results into recommendations
- Plan and host focus groups, co-design workshops and community nights, both in person and online
- Present evidence-backed recommendations to leadership on future products
- Project manage product development from design and prototyping through testing, doctor approval and production
- Chase samples, keep manufacturers on schedule, and clarify timelines, owners and decisions
- Manage and hold accountable the engineer, industrial designer and testing lead
- Own the product roadmap and run the biweekly product meeting
- Apply human-centered design by centering real bodies, stories and needs
- Use AI and agents to synthesize interviews, monitor reviews and community feedback, and automate project management
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years close to how physical products get made and who they're for; experience may come from industrial design, engineering, product marketing, product development or research
- Experience talking to customers, running surveys or tests, and changing decisions based on findings
- Track record of keeping projects with many moving parts on track
- Comfortable holding designers and engineers to deadlines
- Daily use of AI tools at work and opinions about agents
- Comfortable openly discussing bodies and pleasure
- Desire to take on a big job early and earn it
- Bonus: experience with physical products, especially in wellness, beauty, personal care or consumer hardware
- Bonus: formal user research training
- Bonus: experience building or running a community, beta panel or events program
- Bonus: startup experience building things from scratch
