About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the Air & Ocean pricing team for the area of responsibility, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities.
  • Work with Regional and Country Teams to review and maintain master data rates within the quoting tool.
  • Monitor team utilization of the pricing tool and review performance to identify areas for improvement in operational effectiveness and rate effectiveness.
  • Implement company policies, procedures, and systems to improve quote efficiency and quality through the established quoting tool.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to the team for effective utilization of the nominated pricing tool.
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Manage and review the effectiveness of regional sell rates.
  • Assist in preparing bids and estimates.
  • Track win/loss ratio and establish corrective actions to improve win ratio.
  • Create and develop an enjoyable working environment promoting free thinking, hard work, and milestone delivery.
  • Manage a team of operations staff.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding, logistics or related field is required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in estimating/pricing is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in Air & Ocean operations is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software, such as TMS or WMS.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong math and analytical skills is preferred.
  • Experience in Pricing Leadership in international transportation and logistics management.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with transportation management software.
