About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leverage High Power Electric Drive Systems and Electric Generation Systems expertise to enable technical product solutions for Turbo-Generator and Electric Propulsion offerings
- Act as the Electrical Drive/Generation Systems subject matter expert in Turbo-Generator and Electric Propulsion pursuits and partnerships
- Support Product Strategy definition and respond to Electric Propulsion pursuits and proposals
- Partner with business leaders to develop and maintain the technical maturity roadmap for related product solutions
- Own development of core technical requirements for Electric Drive/Generation Systems
- Oversee technology maturation of Electric Drive/Generation Systems
- Support development of the plan to produce an airworthy product
- Own overall integration of the Electric Drive/Generation System design into final production configurations
- Interface with partners, internal and external stakeholder leaders, and customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- At least 10 years of demonstrated experience providing technical leadership to engineering teams in a dynamic multi-functional environment
- Electric Drive/Generation Systems technology, product, and application expertise
- Electric Drive/Generation Systems integration expertise
- Electric machine system engineering design experience
- Power electronics and related controls system engineering design experience
- Electric power generation aerospace domain expertise
- Electric Power Systems architecture and regulatory expertise
- U.S. Person status: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or ability to obtain an export authorization
