Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee model implementation, model execution, and data control activities for models used in CCAR and CECL processes
- Lead an organization responsible for end-to-end technical implementation of models and associated processes
- Manage a team responsible for implementation and execution of CCAR and CECL models, including credit loss, payoff rate, asset balance projection, operations loss forecast, deposit balance, and NII/NIE models
- Perform attribution analyses for model executions and test model assumptions and limitations
- Assist in ongoing monitoring of integrated model results
- Develop and execute controls to ensure accurate model execution
- Improve legacy processes to optimize production runtime without loss of accuracy
- Drive AI adoption through agentic workflows and execution-efficiency enhancements
- Lead data management activities, including identifying key inputs and critical data elements and documenting data lineage
- Represent CCAR and CECL results to management committees, including the capital planning committee and allowance committee
- Develop implementation and execution analysts and leads
- Provide strategic direction for platform changes, migrations, new portfolio onboarding, and technology adoption
- Lead discussions with business leaders, Model Risk Management, regulators, and external auditors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or PHD in a quantitative degree
- 10+ years’ experience working with model risk management, external audit and regulators within a large bank environment
- Experience in multiple software environments, including SAS, Python, or R
- Experience in the development or execution of models for use within CCAR or CECL processes
- Clear communication skills to all levels of management (written and verbal)
- Supervisory experience, including hiring, promoting, demoting, terminating, conducting performance appraisals, coaching, and developing staff
