About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead overall manufacturing responsibilities at the KBF site within budget and output targets
- Ensure a safe, quality-focused, operationally driven site delivering company KPIs
- Develop an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team
- Promote accountability, integrity, continuous improvement, safety, HSE, and quality cultures
- Contribute to operational best practices, manufacturing strategy, policies, processes, and procedures
- Implement and manage continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing principles
- Manage production against daily, weekly, and monthly targets while meeting quality and delivery expectations and minimizing costs
- Drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements through data analysis
- Lead and motivate teams and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Partner with HR on recruitment, training, development, and disciplinary issues
- Develop, implement, and manage KPIs for areas of responsibility
- Drive health, safety, and environmental improvements and address near misses
- Instill and lead a quality-based manufacturing culture
- Review production and operating reports to resolve operational and maintenance problems
- Partner with maintenance to prioritize predictive and autonomous maintenance
- Collaborate across shifts as part of the GOR Campus leadership team
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and ten to twelve years leadership experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the plastics industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Coago, and SalesForce
- Experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment
- Preferably experience in the plastics industry
