About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as Prime Technical Lead/Responsible Engineer for an external systems Mission Integration Thread
- Provide technical oversight, review, approval, and accountability for ESI technical content
- Provide technical leadership, direction, and mentoring to ESI team members
- Act as customer technical interface and liaison
- Participate in technical review boards and cultivate relationships with Customer Chief Engineers
- Lead systems-of-systems integration activities, including test planning, problem reporting, integration event execution, and stakeholder coordination
- Analyze controls and enter information into DOORS, CAMEO, and CPLM/TeamCenter tracking tools
- Participate in technical planning, verification and validation, cost and risk considerations, and requirements analyses
- Develop system engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications, interface definition documents, integration event plans, test procedures, and reports
- Support the Sentinel (GBSD) program within the System Integration and Sustainment Enterprise Systems Integration team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 14 years of experience; or 12 years of experience with a Master’s degree in STEM; or 10 years of experience with a PhD
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance, with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR)
- 8–10 years of experience with Product Owner and Product Manager core responsibilities
- 8–10 years of experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) or complex aerospace/defense systems
- 4 years of experience with large-scale/complex system development across multiple program phases
- 1 year of experience with Systems Engineering program milestone events, such as PDR and CDR
- 1 year of experience working with external customers
- 1 year of experience supporting DoD contracts and/or large supplier management portfolios
- Extensive experience performing integration tests
- Proficiency with DOORS, CAMEO, and CPLM/TeamCenter
- Ability to coordinate multiple tests and testing facilities
- Strong critical decision-making skills
- Ability to develop systems engineering artifacts, including requirement specifications, interface definition documents, integration event plans, test procedures, and reports
