About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and deliver quantitative market insights across Stryker Medical’s businesses
- Lead market sizing, modeling, and forecasting across product categories and geographies
- Develop and maintain Stryker Medical’s Market Fact Base
- Analyze market, competitor, customer, and industry data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and business implications
- Develop competitive landscapes and market share estimates using internal and external data sources
- Conduct secondary market research using industry reports, company filings, public data, and internal information
- Build quantitative models and analytical approaches, documenting assumptions, methodologies, and limitations
- Support market segmentation efforts and develop consistent comparison frameworks
- Design and manage external market research engagements, including objectives, RFPs, vendor evaluation, project management, and synthesis of findings
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, Commercial Analytics, Strategy, Business Development, and other stakeholders
- Translate market insights into strategic planning, portfolio decisions, growth initiatives, and business priorities
- Develop executive-ready analyses and presentations
- Establish scalable processes, tools, and best practices for market insights
- Build cross-functional relationships and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree is needed for a qualified candidate
- 2+ years of professional work experience is needed for this role
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, including analyzing and modeling complex datasets
- MBA is preferred
- Prior experience in market research, market insights, strategy, finance, analytics, consulting, or a related field is strongly preferred
- Experience with market sizing, forecasting, competitive intelligence, segmentation, or financial modeling is strongly preferred
- Experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Power BI is preferred
- Must sit within 60 miles of the Portage, MI; Redmond, WA; or Cary, IL office
- Ability to work in the office at least 3 days per week
