About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Use power industrial equipment to load and unload, move, or stack materials or products
- Operate manual or electric carts to fill orders
- Scan and count items from the receiving area and load them on carts
- Stock items appropriately by location and quantity
- Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and place it in the proper shelf location
- Check off merchandise as received
- Correct mistakes found on inventory count sheets
- Assist in pulling parts during busy times
- Work with the stock manager to address order problems
- Perform miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned
- Ensure the warehouse remains neat and orderly
- Support distribution operations by ensuring inventory is received, stocked, and replenished accurately and efficiently
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-2 years experience operating power industrial equipment
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
- Understanding map locations
- Sorting by alpha or numeric
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 100 lbs
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach
- Occasionally required to sit and climb ladders and/or stairs or balance
- Ability to work in environmental conditions with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes
- Ability to function in narrow aisles or passageways
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus
- Time management skills
- Able to work well under pressure
- Must be able to work well with other staff members and supervisors
- Must have open availability, flexibility, and ability to work various shifts and overtime
- 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred
- Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse
- Maintain and promote workplace safety
- Securing and transferring cash or other assets
