Key responsibilities & impact- Participate end to end in all features within Upwind’s infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and product features.
- Contribute to product architectural and infrastructure design.
- Examine and implement new cloud technologies and open-source tools to improve product delivery and availability.
- Plan and drive scaling in developer experience and infrastructure efforts.
- Ensure stable and scalable execution of product-feature infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain production infrastructure.
Requirements
What you’ll need- +3 years of experience as a DevOps engineer on a production high-scale distributed system, working in a Linux environment.
- Hands-on experience with containerized environments; Kubernetes and its OSS ecosystem.
- Experience maintaining and scaling database and queueing infrastructures, including Elasticsearch, MySQL, Neo4j, Postgres (Timescale), RabbitMQ, Redis, or similar technologies.
- Extensive experience working in cloud environments on a production system.
- Mindset of automation, with the ability to automate manual processes.
- In-depth knowledge of build/release systems and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Proven hands-on experience with infrastructure as code in production environments, including Terraform, Terragrunt, or CDK.
- Proven hands-on experience with Helm templating language.
- Scripting/programming skills with Python, Bash, or Go.
- Innovative approach and ability to quickly learn and implement cutting-edge technologies.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Nice to have: deep knowledge of Prometheus monitoring stack, including Grafana, AlertManager, and VictoriaMetrics.
- Nice to have: hands-on experience with multiple cloud vendors.
