About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support merchants in supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders for assigned categories
- Assist in resolving supplier issues and facilitate setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels
- Execute customer communication and education programs with cross-functional teams
- Ensure accuracy and quality of product page content according to taxonomy and search guidelines
- Analyze category performance data for budgeting, forecasting, and sales reporting
- Contribute to feature and promotional planning across stores and online platforms
- Support modular assortment implementation and post-execution analysis
- Manage vendor relationships and provide business insights for strategic decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer experience and category performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree OR 2 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area
- Proven experience in vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations within retail or related sectors
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and generate actionable business insights
- Proficiency in category strategy development and execution
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with merchants, suppliers, and internal teams
- Ability to manage purchase orders, supplier issue resolution, and item setup processes accurately
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and tracking category financial performance
- Commitment to integrity, compliance, and ethical business practices
- Preferred: Microsoft Office
