About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities through subordinate personnel to optimize equipment, facilities, and personnel
- Consult with airport management
- Manage and motivate operational personnel
- Cooperate with upper management to formulate administrative and operational policies and procedures
- Analyze daily operations records to maintain knowledge of station activities
- Review and analyze expenditures, financial reports, and operations reports to determine requirements for increasing profits
- Prepare recommendations for upper management evaluation
- Recommend capital expenditures for new equipment to improve efficiency and services
- Approve equipment, materials, and supplies requisitions within the facility budget
- Maintain and control operational requirements under the corporate security program and TSA legislation
- Ensure company audit requirements are completed for continuity and compliance
- Implement the site-specific security plan and ensure WFS staff receive and display company identification badges
- Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations
- Direct investigations into internal and external facility complaints
- May negotiate contracts with equipment and materials suppliers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to interpret a wide variety of instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to effectively present information to top management and/or boards of directors
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members
- Ability to manage and motivate personnel
