About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide assurance and consulting services to industry-specific middle-market clients
- Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges
- Implement testing to assess internal-control deficiencies and recommend improvements
- Manage all fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results
- Provide financial statement guidance and business recommendations based on testing and gathered information
- Deliver business insight through review, analysis, and discussion
- Assist with client engagement staffing, billings, and collections
- Ensure client profitability targets are met
- Network and build relationships internally, externally with clients, and in the community
- Participate in firm-wide learning and development programs
- Support team-member growth and development through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy
- Mentor and coach staff while working with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-year degree
- CPA
- Five (5) years of experience
- Five (5)+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services within a public accounting firm
- Food and/or beverage and/or agriculture industry experience is preferred
- Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
- Ability to lead and supervise others
- Ability to provide exceptional client service
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current regarding applicable strategies
- Ability to see the big picture as well as the details
- Appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment
- Sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely project completion
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
