About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and execute multiple client engagements throughout the year
- Manage associate through supervisor-level professionals and delegate engagement responsibilities
- Communicate and resolve issues arising during audit engagements with support from the engagement manager
- Serve as a trusted leader within the firm
- Develop and execute audit strategy from planning through reporting
- Develop and maintain client relationships and drive client satisfaction
- Research, understand, and apply complex accounting concepts and auditing procedures
- Develop, motivate, and mentor associates through training, regular feedback, and career guidance
- Foster a team environment
- Engage in community activities to enhance the firm’s brand within the North Bay
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed CPA
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in public accounting in a variety of industries including Consumer Products, Wine/Vineyard, Agriculture, and other similar industries preferred
- Experience auditing complex accounts including inventory, farming and manufacturing activities, revenue, and equity/stock options
- Demonstrated leadership/supervisor experience
- Proven collaborator and inclusive communicator with colleagues and clients
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong desire to continuously learn
- Ability to analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate recommendations
- Ability to synthesize research into clear, thoughtful, actionable deliverables
- Understanding of client needs, ability to identify root causes of problems, and implement pragmatic solutions
