Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the entire customer relationship and champion the customer experience
- Build and maintain customer master file information
- Interact with the credit team to define credit terms
- Facilitate the quoting process and receive orders
- Facilitate the technical process, including building and maintaining items
- Enter and maintain orders
- Use the material search tool
- Use the CRM tool as the single repository for customer interactions and information
- Monitor order status, expedite orders as necessary, and provide customer order status updates
- Own all JIT Supply Chain programs for assigned customers
- Partner with the Commercial Team, Product Management, and Supply Planning on quotations and commercial opportunities
- Follow up on quotations and perform cold calling to existing customers as an inside sales representative
- Partner with Program Managers on new program and major project opportunities
- Partner with Sales, customers, and Demand Planning on forecasting
- Adjust reorder point levers with Sales and Supply Planning for make-to-stock items
- Partner with Supply Planning and Plant Scheduling on material availability, lead times, order status, and expediting
- Facilitate resolution of disputes and customer complaints
- Monitor and maintain critical system parameter dates to ensure delivery metric accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
- Computer operation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle ERP
- Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner
- 5+ years of customer service or supply chain experience in manufacturing
- Ability to sit for 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for less than 1/3 of the time
- Accurate close and distance vision
- Ability to work more than 2/3 of the time in an office setting with very limited exposure
- Ability to work with moderate noise exposure
