Key responsibilities & impact- Own the product strategy and roadmap for Cloudera Manager, a lifecycle management tool for mission-critical clusters
- Lead strategy and execution to provide enterprise capabilities with the ease of data SaaS products across on-premises and cloud environments
- Partner with Engineering, PMO, Product Marketing, and Field organizations to deliver a market-leading hybrid-cloud experience
- Shift product strategy toward simplified user experiences, optimal settings, active guardrails, configuration recommendations, health alerts, and bad-configuration warnings using AI and observability telemetry
- Design intuitive workflows and self-guided administrative tools for IT generalists
- Lead the evolution of Cloudera Manager into a multi-cloud cluster orchestrator
- Optimize cluster lifecycle operations for environments of up to 10,000 nodes and ensure large-cluster maintenance meets approved SLAs
- Establish release lifecycle policies guaranteeing public API stability and backward compatibility
- Monitor and improve operational velocity, prescriptive feature adoption, and support escalation metrics
Requirements
What you’ll need- BSc/MSc in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in the enterprise software space
- At least 2 years of Product Management experience
- Strong foundational understanding of open datalakes, data movement, enterprise data governance, and big data architecture
- Basic technical understanding of virtualization and data center networking
- Basic technical understanding of VM-based public cloud deployments (IaaS/PaaS), object storage architectures (S3, ADLS, GCS), and network architectures for at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Demonstrated success transforming complex, developer-centric platforms into intuitive, opinionated products with active guardrails
- This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship
- Experience with or knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery/Bigtable, Amazon EMR/Redshift, Azure Synapse, Apache Iceberg, and multi-cloud data architecture strategies is additionally advantageous
- Strong background managing enterprise platforms or supporting customers running enterprise-scale deployments with over 100 Terabytes of data is additionally advantageous
