About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and own production software end to end
  • Build full-stack applications, APIs, integrations, and automation using TypeScript, Node.js, and Python
  • Take software through testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement
  • Solve complex engineering problems and integrate distributed systems
  • Use AI-assisted development to create automated workflows and build AI-powered agents
  • Support platform services across cloud, containers, Linux, and modern delivery tooling
  • Build AI-powered workflows and integrate engineering and security systems
  • Troubleshoot production issues across application code, APIs, and Linux-based platform services
  • Modernise CI/CD and automate operational processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong TypeScript skills (essential)
  • Experience with Node.js, Python, or Go
  • Strong hands-on software engineering background with production code
  • Full-stack experience across front-end, back-end, APIs, services, and platform integrations
  • End-to-end ownership from design and development through deployment, production support, and continuous improvement
  • Strong Linux experience, including troubleshooting applications, services, and production environments
  • Confidence using AI-assisted development and safely productionising AI-powered agents and workflows
  • Experience connecting complex systems using APIs, events, queues, and distributed integration patterns
  • Ability to debug complex production issues across application, network, and platform layers
  • Experience with several of Azure, AWS, GitHub Actions, containers, Terraform/Bicep, observability, networking, and security automation
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, Kubernetes, AI-powered tooling, MCP servers, LLM-backed workflows, monitoring, DNS, TLS, routing, root-cause analysis, production support, and operational automation
