Key responsibilities & impact- Create and maintain the project schedule in the EPMO-prescribed tool, updating it weekly through closeout
- Participate in weekly updates to the implementation vendor's master schedule
- Deliver weekly project status reports in the state's project management tool
- Create and maintain risks and issues, recommend responses, and run monthly reviews
- Facilitate status, risk and issue review, backlog grooming, release planning and change review meetings
- Publish meeting agendas 24 hours before meetings and minutes 24 hours afterward
- Track project financials and enter actual expenditures monthly or when approved changes affect the budget
- Manage change control with the EPMO Portfolio Manager and state governance committees
- Track project changes in the project tool
- Track deliverables in a deliverable approval matrix and manage vendor Deliverable Expectation Documents and Deliverable Acceptance Forms
- Maintain stakeholder, decision and action item logs
- Engage sponsors and governance committees on policy, scope, resources, budget and escalated issues
- Facilitate project activities, including the state's procurement process
- Produce deliverables required by state, agency and federal governance, including CMS and FNS requirements
- Organize and archive project artifacts in the state document repository
- Run lessons learned and produce the project closeout report
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current PMP certification; copy of certificate required with application
- Current HIPAA training certificate, or willingness to complete HIPAA training provided by Dhaka Technologies Limited Company before submission and maintain it during the engagement
- Experience managing IT implementation projects for state government, preferably for a health and human services, Medicaid or public health agency
- Experience managing an implementation vendor's schedule and deliverables, including deliverable review and acceptance
- Experience with hybrid or Agile delivery, including backlog grooming and release planning
- Three professional references from engagements within the last five years
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Visio) and Adobe PDF
- Strong organization, document repository management, and written and verbal communication
- Availability Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time
- Located in and authorized to work in the United States; W-2 only (no C2C or 1099)
- Must pass a national criminal background check
- Must sign the client's acceptable use and confidentiality terms
- Must work only on client-provided systems
- Must not use AI meeting assistants in client meetings
- Preferred: experience with federally funded health programs or grant initiatives and their reporting requirements
- Preferred: experience working within a state Enterprise Project Management Office and its templates and governance
- Preferred: experience managing several concurrent projects or a program of related projects
