About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and evolve the design system as the foundation for consistent, high-quality product experiences
- Create decision frameworks and lightweight guidelines for PM-led design decisions
- Review PM-led design decisions and provide feedback
- Build and maintain AI-readable design system documentation
- Stay current on design trends, tooling, and AI-assisted design workflows
- Pair directly with Product and Engineering from early discovery through development
- Translate ambiguous problems and business requirements into clear, testable design
- Present design rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership
- Mentor other designers and collaborate on process improvement
- Set the design vision for the product area and align it with company design strategy
- Design end-to-end workflows for complex, multi-step financial processes
- Simplify dense, data-heavy interfaces while preserving compliance and accuracy nuances
- Design trust and transparency into automated decisions and human-in-the-loop workflows
- Conduct or partner on user research, usability testing, and interviews
- Represent the user's perspective in roadmap and prioritization conversations
- Learn construction-industry challenges and connect with users from diverse backgrounds
Requirements
What you’ll need- Self-Motivated and enthusiastic about building great software for construction accounting
- Empathetic advocate for your customers
- 5+ years experience as a product/UX designer on a B2B product
- Experience with Figma and/or other design tools
- Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
