About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate the transport operations of the depot on the Coop contract in Avonmouth
- Plan and organise transport schedules and operational work to meet all service level criteria
- Recruit, train, and coach transport team members
- Improve performance and manage underperformance where necessary
- Liaise with departments and support services to provide quality service against company and client standards
- Promote safe working practices and maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
- Ensure compliance with driver and vehicle legislation and satisfy customer and company requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- International CPC is essential
- Demonstrable experience within a similar role managing a large multi-temperature transport operation, preferably in a 3PL environment
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Working Time Directive and all relevant transport legislation
- Experience of continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives is desirable
