About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Negotiate midsize value contracts and complex requirements
- Coordinate meetings with internal clients to meet objectives while achieving cost effectiveness and productivity savings
- Perform strategic sourcing of goods, materials, and services
- Serve as the main point of contact for indirect procurement across manufacturing sites, R&D facilities, and distribution centers
- Educate internal stakeholders on procurement policies
- Drive SBG strategic plan and supporting strategies to achieve productivity and cost savings
- Align with commodity strategies, including spend site analysis, cost and market analysis, and global technology/economic trends
- Develop and manage relationships with key supplier leadership
- Improve working capital through payment-term extensions, payment-cycle optimization, and vendor-managed inventories
- Reduce inventory and lead times
- Assist with site tactical procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in procurement and project management
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen
- In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (valued)
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Continuous learning and self-development
