About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the primary liaison between 3PL freight forwarders or warehouse providers and clients
- Serve as an on-floor subject matter expert for logistics operations
- Own the end-to-end client experience from onboarding through daily order fulfillment
- Manage inventory integrity and ensure service level agreements are met
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and conduct regular business reviews
- Oversee receiving, pick-and-pack, kitting, and shipping operations
- Troubleshoot order issues, including sync errors and mis-ships
- Investigate inventory discrepancies through cycle counts and reporting
- Onboard new clients by establishing SOPs, configuring WMS, and coordinating inventory intake
- Analyze WMS/OMS fulfillment data and implement process improvements
- Split time between logistics operations with vendors and clients to ensure handling instructions and quality expectations are met
- Create and maintain client SOPs
- Manage client QBRs and MBRs
- Manage vendor performance and operational KPIs
- Monitor order accuracy, on-time shipment percentage, inventory accuracy, issue resolution time, client satisfaction, and retention
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–7 years of experience in 3PL, logistics, or ecommerce fulfillment
- 30% travel required
- Strong familiarity with E2 preferred or similar TMS
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, such as ShipHero, NetSuite, or Blue Yonder
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to resolve order-level exceptions quickly and trace errors to root causes
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for inventory tracking and reporting
- Highly proactive with a strong sense of accountability for client outcomes
- Hold a degree/diploma, preferably with 3–5 years of experience in Logistics solutioning and Logistics Operations
- Highly proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in 3PL solutions, 4PL carrier management, road freight, warehousing solutions, ocean transport, and air transport preferred
- Good interpersonal, communication, influencing, leadership, time and task management skills
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and support change and innovation
- Operational logistics acumen combined with a strong sense of business development
- Capable of working independently and making fact- and data-based decisions under pressure while delivering on time
- Ability to present findings effectively across all levels of the business
