About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and target key projects and stakeholders so Knauf products are specified during early project planning
- Build relationships with architects, designers, consultants, specifiers, and other construction and design decision-makers
- Provide technical advice, product recommendations, and tailored solutions
- Act as the primary contact for specifiers throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop understanding of Knauf ceilings, drywall systems, and other construction solutions
- Deliver technical presentations, CPD seminars, and training sessions
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and specification-market opportunities
- Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and technical teams from specification through project execution
- Support conversion of specifications into orders with project insights and technical support
- Track and report specification activities, project pipelines, and conversion rates using CRM and required systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in specification sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry
- Technical knowledge of building materials and systems
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Strong network of contacts within the architecture, design, and construction sectors
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence and persuade decision-makers
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
- Proficiency in CRM tools and project tracking software
- Relationship building and stakeholder management
- Technical acumen and problem-solving skills
