Key responsibilities & impact- Install and update computer workstations, printers, peripherals, and client software for local and remote users
- Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network problems, escalating issues as needed
- Respond to assigned IT tickets in a timely manner
- Diagnose computer, network, and communications problems
- Perform software reloads and upgrades for computer systems and communications equipment
- Implement computer and user controls to secure and support networked computers
- Interface with vendor technical support staff on hardware, software, and networking issues
- Maintain IT supplies and IT asset inventory and coordinate disposal of unwanted equipment
- Monitor and maintain the computer operations area
- Administer, deploy, and support VOIP telephony equipment
- Maintain effective working relationships and use time-management, documentation, organizational, and communication skills
- Organize, prioritize, and coordinate daily workload activities
- Perform other duties assigned by management
- Work in a professional office environment using standard office equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in IT operations support capacity
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and communication skills in English and the national language
- Outstanding listening skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Windows 7, 10, and 11 operating systems
- Experience with Windows Server 2013–2019
- Intermediate understanding of cloud-based environments and computing
- Well-rounded computer hardware and networking skills
- Ability to articulate issues, build consensus around recommendations, and define next steps
- Team-oriented, self-starter able to work independently and customer-focused
- Ability to learn continually
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel less than 25%
- Ability to communicate in English and the national language
