Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the performance, standards and development of Open Systems’ project-management discipline worldwide
- Lead the global team delivering implementation of the managed network-security platform for enterprise customers in more than 180 countries
- Define and embed a common delivery methodology and project-governance framework across the global team
- Establish stage gates, risk and change management, planning and reporting standards
- Move the team toward accountability for outcomes, including predictable time-to-value, clean handovers and managed projects
- Build a coherent global operating model across regions and time zones
- Establish and use metrics such as on-time activation, milestone adherence, escalation volume and time-to-resolve
- Raise individual capability through coaching, mentoring and clear accountability
- Own team performance, priorities, resourcing and development across all regions
- Own project-management methodology, standards, governance and delivery quality
- Oversee enterprise implementation projects to time, scope and customer satisfaction in partnership with Customer Success, Service Delivery / Mission Control and Professional Services
- Manage escalations within project governance
- Lead hiring, capability development and succession planning for project managers across all regions
- Travel regularly to Zurich headquarters and internationally
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years in enterprise IT project and/or programme delivery, including complex, multi-site implementations for large organisations
- 5+ years in a formal people-leadership role directly managing project managers; experience managing other team leads or managers strongly preferred
- Demonstrable track record of standing up a Project Management Office or materially raising the delivery maturity of a project team, including methodology, governance and reporting standards personally introduced and embedded
- Experience leading geographically distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones
- Current and valid PMP certification (PMI) required
- A degree (ETH, university or FH) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
- Willing and able to travel internationally across the regions of operation
- Experience in a managed-services, SaaS or 24/7 operations environment is a bonus
- Background in global networks, connectivity or internet service providers is a bonus
- Working knowledge of SASE, SD-WAN, ZTNA, SWG, CASB or firewall-as-a-service is a bonus
- Commercial and negotiation experience with ISP or technology partners is a bonus
