Key responsibilities & impact- Own corporate IT end to end, including identity, devices, SaaS, and the employee lifecycle
- Administer Okta or the company’s SSO provider, including app integrations, groups, provisioning, deprovisioning, and MFA policies
- Manage access requests and periodic access reviews across Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, GCP, and other SaaS tools
- Manage the macOS fleet through MDM, including enrollment, configuration profiles, OS and app patching, and encryption
- Handle laptop procurement, shipping, inventory, and recovery for a distributed US and European team
- Own employee onboarding and offboarding end to end
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and account issues and create documentation or self-service fixes
- Support office IT, including Wi-Fi, conference rooms, and printers, at New York and San Francisco hubs
- Script and automate repetitive IT work, including onboarding workflows, provisioning, and device compliance checks
- Maintain IT procedures, runbooks, and asset inventory
- Manage SaaS licenses, renewals, spending, and unused seats
- Evaluate new tools and vendors with the Security & Automation Engineer
- Maintain day-to-day IT controls and follow up on exceptions
- Collect and organize audit evidence for SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA, and future frameworks
- Help roll out security awareness training and phishing simulations
- Work with the Engineering Lead, Security & Automation Engineer, and product, infrastructure, and security engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years in IT operations or systems administration
- At least 1-2 years at a startup or small, fast-moving team
- Hands-on administration experience with Okta or a similar SSO provider, such as Microsoft Entra ID, OneLogin, or JumpCloud
- Proven macOS fleet management with an MDM such as Kandji, Mosyle, Jamf, or Intune
- Google Workspace administration experience
- Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar
- Habit of automating repeated tasks
- Clear written communication and documentation skills
- Experience supporting SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 audits, or using Secureframe, Vanta, or Drata (nice to have)
- Okta Workflows or other no-code automation experience (nice to have)
- Linux familiarity and basic GCP or AWS IAM knowledge (nice to have)
- Experience supporting a remote team across time zones (nice to have)
- Willingness to complete a background check
- Must attend some synchronous meetings during US daytime hours
