About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out testing, inspection, and reporting to the highest standards
- Ensure compliance with SOCOTEC quality procedures and Health & Safety guidelines
- Conduct asbestos surveys, air sampling, fibre counting, and four-stage clearance tests
- Maintain and calibrate equipment
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Record and issue accurate analytical reports
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and internal teams to deliver work to agreed timescales
- Identify opportunities to support SOCOTEC’s wider services
- Work on projects across defence, rail, roads, power stations, retail, heritage, and service sectors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must hold BOHS P403 and P404 qualifications or RSPH Level 3 in Asbestos Air Monitoring
- Industry experience essential with a proven track record in a similar role
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good client-facing skills and confidence liaising with contractors, project managers, and stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and report writing
- Time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines
