About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Sol de Janeiro’s global sourcing organization and contract manufacturing strategy
- Oversee Direct Procurement, Indirect Procurement, Contract Manufacturing Sourcing, and Supplier Performance Management
- Build and execute sourcing strategies supporting global growth, innovation, margin objectives, and supply chain resilience
- Lead competitive sourcing, RFQ/RFP processes, commercial negotiations, contracting, supplier selection, and commercial management
- Own sourcing strategy for externally sourced materials and components, including packaging components and raw materials
- Deliver and report productivity savings, cost savings, cost avoidance, payment terms, supplier risk, supplier performance, and innovation-timeline KPIs
- Support innovation and commercialization through new product, material, and packaging sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, capacity commitments, and launch readiness
- Own the global contract manufacturing network strategy, commercial relationships, capacity commitments, performance management, and network development
- Establish supplier governance including scorecards, QBRs, strategic business reviews, corrective-action governance, and executive relationship management
- Lead supplier risk management, business continuity planning, dual-sourcing strategies, escalation, and corrective actions
- Develop enterprise Indirect Procurement across marketing, creative, agency, 3PL, logistics, capital investments, technology, software, and strategic services
- Evolve procurement policies, sourcing processes, approval frameworks, competitive bidding standards, supplier governance, controls, spend visibility, reporting, and SAP-enabled processes
- Report directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and lead three Director-level direct reports plus a broader sourcing and supplier-management team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Contract Manufacturing, and Supplier Management within beauty, CPG, or a similarly fast-paced consumer products environment
- Proven leadership of global sourcing organizations with experience managing complex direct material and component spend, indirect procurement, and outsourced manufacturing networks
- Deep experience in contract manufacturing, including CM sourcing, commercial negotiations, capacity strategy, supplier relationships, performance management, and network development
- Experience supporting high-velocity innovation and new product development environments
- Sophisticated commercial negotiation skills and understanding of supplier economics, cost structures, competitive sourcing, and contracting
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Strong cross-functional partnership with Product & Innovation, Packaging, Planning, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, and other business leaders
- Highly analytical and comfortable using data for negotiations, supplier decisions, network strategies, risk assessments, and performance management
- Experience operating in international and global supply environments across multiple geographies
- Deep experience with SAP and modern procurement processes, including systems, master data, analytics, and process discipline
- Experience developing senior sourcing and procurement talent and building high-performing teams
